Goh Pei Shan’s watercolour project, Floating Direction,is a depiction of the artist’s feelings about Singapore and how it contrasts with her home in Malaysia. The large bottle of water represents the need to keep afloat in order to survive in the bustling city-state. Those at the top of the glass container have found success and have a settled life.  Others in the middle of the glass aspire to reach the top and are struggling to achieve thier goals. Goh Pei Shan stands isolated and alone at the bottom of the glass.

Paula Nikita’s Dancing With The Monster is a digital illustration showing a little girl dancing with a monster in a woodland setting. The image aims to bring to light how quickly people can make judgements based on appearances. ‘Don’t let anyone change what you think, just dance with the ‘monster’ if that’s what makes you happy,’ says Nikita.
